MahLeah Cochran

Artist Bio:

Mahleah grew up in Columbus Ohio. She studied and lived in New York for a little over a decade. During the last two decades, she has traveled the world with various humanitarian groups and organizations. Her experiences have heavily influenced her art. Currently, she is sharing her experiences, her art journey, and her story as a speaker locally, nationally, and internationally. Her enthusiasm for abstract art has recently led her to conduct various workshops in churches, metro parks, and other community settings. She enjoys painting intuitively and expressing emotions in color, shape, and form. Mahleah currently resides in New Albany where she is currently represented by the Hayley Gallery.

Artist Statement:

When I paint volumes of expressions emerge. Light and darkness in their various forms speak. Lines in colors. Tell a story. As a person I have many stories to tell as an artist I get to express the emotions of those stories creatively. I paint, I write, I sing, I photograph. I use these creative mediums to give voice to people places perspectives and personal passions.
