Artist Bio:

Megan Brown is a watercolor artist living in Westerville, Ohio. She began her watercolor journey while staying home with her son during the pandemic. She craved a creative outlet during that stressful time to help her process this new reality. Throughout that period, watercolor offered much needed comfort, and it continues to be a source of fulfillment and joy. Her work is a testament to the power of art to provide solace and inspiration during difficult times. This inspiration has led Megan to develop a passion for capturing the intricate details of the natural world with watercolor’s dynamic and luminescent qualities. Taking a closer look at the little things in nature that often go unnoticed allows her to appreciate the complexity and richness of their forms, tones, and hues. Her art is a true reflection of her love of nature and her desire to share that love with others.

Artist Statement:

One aspect of human experience that has always captured my attention is our relationship to the natural world. Slowing down to be in the present moment to notice the intricate details and beautiful color variation of the simplest flower brings me so much pleasure and allows me to feel grounded in the midst of chaos. Through watercolor, I strive to translate the beauty of natural subjects and the peace, joy, and wonder they inspire within me.
